Німецька блогерша Джеральдіна Уест (Geraldine West) з Кельна придумала на цю тему цілий проект. Вона створює фотографії з серії «Інстаграм і реальність», якими показує, як відрізняється красива картинка від повсякденного життя. За допомогою цієї ідеї дівчина зібрала вже майже 18 тисяч передплатників на свою сторінку. Правда, критики відзначають, що так звані реальні знімки Джеральдін теж дуже постановочні. Найбільше в справі висміювання глянцевих фото знаменитостей прославилася австралійка Селеста Барбер. Завдяки своїм дотепним пародійним фото вона зібрала цілу армію шанувальників в кількості 4,5 мільйона чоловік.
Цікаво подивитися, як передражнює зоряні фото блогер-чоловік. Цим прославився італієць Емануеле Феррарі, який відтворює наряди зірок, використовуючи будь-які підручні засоби. Виходить дуже смішно. Майже 1,5 мільйона передплатників це підтверджують.
Свій внесок в справу викриття ідеальних фото також вносить група чоловіків під назвою «Бойфренди Instagram». У своєму співтоваристві вони регулярно публікують знімки, які наочно показують яких зусиль коштує створити бездоганну, нібито випадкову фотографію.
