Хлопець увійшов у вагон босоногий — і вийшов з чимось більше, ніж просто взуття
Це був звичайний вечірній проїзд у метро після довгого дня в офісі. Такий, коли дивишся униз, слухаєш музику в навушниках і дозволяєш ритму поїзда перенести тебе у той дивний простір між днем і вечором — коли ти ще не вдома, але вже й не на роботі.
Лампи денного світла ледь мерехтіли, вагон гуркотів, а пасажири навколо були захоплені своїми думками. Хтось втупився у телефон, хтось дивився бездумно на рекламні плакати. Повітря було тихе, звичне, навіть трохи мляве.
А потім поїзд зупинився на станції, і щось змінилося.
У вагон увійшов хлопець. На перший погляд, нічого незвичайного — років чотирнадцять, стрункий, з кучерявим каштановим волоссям і потертим рюкзаком на одному плечі. Але потім я побачив його ноги.
Одна була зовсім боса. На іншій — шкарпетка, але непарна, витягнута й тонка. У руках він тримав один кедик — брудний, зідраний, підошва ледь трималася. Хлопець дивився в підлогу, крокував невпевнено. Він сів між двома незнайомцями, підібгав ноги, намагаючись зайняти якомога менше місця.
Люди помітили — звісно ж. Але зреагували так, як це роблять у місті: ігнорували.
