Mother-in-Law Decides to Throw Away All the Children’s Belongings

Published

on

After my husband and I got married, I was over the moon with happiness because, aside from my husband, I also had his mother, and we got along quite well. However, it was always hard to feel truly close to her. Things remained that way until I found out I was pregnant.

During my pregnancy, everything went smoothly for the most part. Shed give me advice, which I took seriously, told me stories, and offered guidance.

But once I gave birth, my motherly instincts kicked in so strongly that I simply stopped listening to her suggestions. I even started to view her guidance with suspicion, though I tried hard to hide my reluctance.

The real trouble began when I discovered that shed got rid of all the baby things my sister had given uspractically new and in brilliant condition! After my niece had outgrown them, my sister gave me such lovely, barely used items for the baby. And then I found out that my mother-in-law simply threw them all away! Apparently, she firmly believed that children should never wear or use things that once belonged to others. Absolutely never!

It didnt matter to her that they looked almost untouched. Everything ended up straight in the bin.

At first, I didnt notice anything missing, but when I remembered seeing those adorable baby shoes, I couldnt find them anywhere. When I asked her about it, she admitted shed thrown them out. Im not someone who causes a fuss about every little thing, but this felt utterly unacceptable. Even now, I cant forgive my mother-in-law for it.

Why couldnt she have at least asked me first?
