Кожен справжній патріот повинен знати ці факти про українську вишиванку!
1. Сорочка базовий елемент строю селян, яка виконувала функцію нижньої білизни. Здебільшого це були довгі сорочки.
2. У 19 ст.. походження вишиванки та місце її проживання (навіть село) можна було визначити за оздобленням вишиванки.
3. Хрестик замінив близько 250-ти традиційних швів, які використовували у народній техніці.
4. Вишивка хрестиком поширилася завдяки милу, на обгортках якого друкувалися прості вишивки, які стали улюбленими в українських жінок.
5. 300 швів на основі 20 технік нараховує звичайна українська вишивка.
6. Текстиль фарбували переважно народними барвниками, а саме: бузиною, крушиною, корою дуба.
7. Для звичної нам вишивки «білим по білому» необхідно декілька сезонів вибілювати нитки.
8. У сільської дівчини у скрині могло бути близько 35 сорочок, а у заможної могло бути більше 65!
