Усі ці сприятливі погодні умови в будинку найчастіше створює одна людина – мама. І все господарство, на жаль, не залагодити лише за допомогою парасольки. Потрібен творчий підхід.
Жила-була бідна єврейська сім’я. Дітей було багато, а грошей як завжди не вистачало. Мати працювала на знос – готувала, прала, кричала, роздавала потиличники і голосно нарікала на життя.
Нарешті, знесилившись, вона вирушила за порадою до рабина: як стати хорошою матір’ю?
Вийшла вона від нього тиха і задумлива. З того часу її ніби підмінили. Ні, грошей в сім’ї не додалося. І діти більш слухняними не стали. Але тепер мама не сварила їх, а з її лиця не сходила привітна посмішка. Раз на тиждень вона йшла на базар, а повертавшися, на кілька годин зачинялася в кімнаті.
Дітей мучила цікавість. Одного разу вони порушили заборону і заглянули до мами. Вона сиділа за столом і… пила чай з солодкою булочкою!
«Мама, що ти робиш? А як же ми?» – обурено закричали діти.
«Діти, тихо! – важливо відповіла вона. – Я роблю вашу маму щасливішою!»
