Матір нещодавно кинула дочку, а слідом її вирішив залишити і батько, щоб не тягати за собою такий тягар. А дівчинка Даша була дуже хороша і слухняна.
Бабуся знайшла дівчину біля парканів: вона тихо стояла, тримаючись за поручні і дивилася у напрямку машини, яка тільки що від’їхала, забравши з собою батька. Бабуся підійшла, обняла дівчинку і повела в будинок. Вона і так зрозуміла, що дівчинку кинув власний батько.
Увечері повернувся дід і побачив Дашку за столиком: вона тихо про щось сумувала. І дід зрозумів, що дитина стала непотрібною для своїх батьків. Поговорили дід з бабусею, обговорили молодих і їх світогляд і пішли спати.
Незабаром дівчинка пішла в школу. Виросла і з відзнакою закінчила школу – стала гордістю бабусі і дідусі. Тоді дід запропонував відправити дівчинку в місто, щоб вона там здобула освіту.
Дівчинка поїхала, відучилася, і повернулася в сім’ю. Як дід з бабою раділи приїзду їх внучки! Вона стала економістом і тепер вирішила побудувати в рідному селі ферму і допомогти жителям.
Так і зробила. Великі справи, великі плани, а робочих все не вистачає. Тоді спробували знайти робітників за допомогою оголошення. На співбесіду одного разу приходить чоловік років 50 або більше, який виглядав, як безхатченко.
Він представився батьком дівчини і попросив пробачити за те, що кинув її. Пробачити його вона змогла через кілька місяців і дала йому роботу.
Змогло її серце знайти прощення для свого батька!
