Наталя усміхнулася. Вперше за останні роки вона відчула справжню свободу.
— Живи для себе, дочко. Як і я тепер буду.
Вона замовила квиток у перший же тур, який їй сподобався, — на Мальдіви. За кілька днів до вильоту продала свою частку в квартирі чоловікові, який, до її подиву, швидко погодився. Наталя не хотіла затягувати процес — час був надто цінним.
Перший раз у житті вона купила собі легке біле сукняння, яке завжди вважала «непрактичним», і великі сонячні окуляри. На пляжі, стоячи босоніж у теплій хвилі, Наталя зачинила очі й відчула, як сонце цілує її обличчя.
— Це мій час. — Шепнула вона.
Ні лікувань, ні процедур. Вона вирішила не витрачати останні місяці на боротьбу, яку все одно програє. Зате вона відчула себе живою — по-справжньому.
Наталя почала писати щоденник. Про море, про людей, про смак екзотичних фруктів, про те, як сміється, коли їй у каву падає пальмовий лист. Про те, що кожен день може бути останнім — і тому він надзвичайно красивий.
Одного ранку вона не прокинулася. Але на її обличчі застигла посмішка.
