– Мамо, знайомся, це Мар’яна, – трохи зніяковіло представив Олег дівчину, яку привів додому пізно ввечері.
– Добрий вечір, – відповіла Ганна, невдоволено поглянувши на несподівану гостю, – який вдалий час для знайомства! До півночі лише п’ять хвилин…
– А я ж казала Олежкові, що вже пізно, – швидко відреагувала дівчина, – та де його переслухати? Такий упертий!
«От молодець, – подумала про себе Ганна, – себе виправдала, його – облила брудом. Неприємна типка».
– Ну, заходьте, – запросила мати й, не додаючи більше ні слова, пішла у спальню.
А що їй лишалося? Виганяти єдиного сина з дому? Серед ночі! Та ще через якусь незрозумілу дівчисько! Хочуть жити разом? Нехай. Мати для того й існує, щоб захистити сина й відкрити йому очі. А вже вона, Ганна, зробить це швидко. І Олег відправить свою пасію геть – без жодного жалю! Ще й порадіє, що звільнився!
Усю ніч Ганна не спала, обдумуючи план випровадження Мар’яни з квартири.
Ні, вона не б– Мамо, прошу тебе, дай нам шанс, – тихо сказав Олег, коли вони залишилися самі.
