Мій син і я бачимо померлих. За довгі роки з нами траплялося чимало надприродного. Я бачила ангелів, також демонів, і кілька разів уві сні мені являлася Сама Смерть. Я не шаную її, ніколи не шанувала.
Мій син теж бачить привидів. Іноді, коли він спить, він розповідає, що відвідує небеса, бачить Бога та Ісуса. Він описує все так докладно, ніби справді там був. Ми пережили стільки незвичайного, що люди вже нам не вірять. Кажуть, що ми вигадуємо, перебільшуємо. Але це не так. Куди б ми не пішли — чи то дім, чи то вулиця — ми постійно чуємо чи бачимо щось незвичайне. Завжди.
Здається, ми маємо дар провидіння, але я не хочу його визнавати. Не хочу цього дару. Одного разу жінка, схожа на ворожку, розказала мені про це. Сказала, що в мене сильний дар і що його можна розвинути ще більше. Але я не хочу. Мені страшно. А ось син, можливо, колись прийме це. Він не боїться їх. Коли він бачить сутності, він розмовляє з ними, йде за ними.
Я — ні. Я лише прошу їх залишити мене в спокої, кажу, що не можу допомогти. А вони залишаються… ось там, біля дверей моєї кімнати, спостерігають за мною вночі. Іноді стоять днями. Іноді зникають за хвилини. Але вони завжди повертаються.
А я просто хочу спокійно спати.
