Я поліцейський, і цей день почався як звичайний черговий вихід. Мій німецький вівчарка Макс із чутливим нюхом завжди поруч під час патрулювання. Вірний, врівноважений, він миттєво реагував на будь-яку загрозу. О 16:00 все було тихо поки раптом Макс не змінився на очах.
Він завмер, насторожив вушка, озираючись з незрозумілою напругою. Потім закружляв, вдихаючи повітря, наче шукав слід. Його погляд став пронизливим. Я пішов слідом, дивуючись цій незвичній поведінці. Зазвичай спокійний, Макс явно щось знайшов.
Він рушив до жінки з візком. Вона йшла, не помічаючи несподіванки. Пес кинувся до неї, гарячково нюхаючи, а потім загавкав не просто так, а тривожно, наче благаючи про увагу. Жінка зупинилася, збентежено глянувши на мене.
Я підійшов до візка, щоб зрозуміти причину тривоги Макса. Він не вгавав, тому я обережно відсунув ковдру, очікуючи побачити дитину.
Але там не було ані малюка, ані його речей. Те, що я побачив, заморозило мені кров.

Я відкрив її і все стало зрозуміло. Всередині були заборонені речовини, небезпечні предмети та підроблені документи. Судячи з усього, це була частина злочинної схеми.
Не гаючи часу, я викликав підкріплення для блокування місця події. Макс знову довів, що його нюх і інстинкти на варті безпеки.
