My Husband Gave Me a Royal Birthday Surprise: Just as the Party Started, His Pregnant Mistress Called Me!

Published

on

My husband gave me a regal birthday present, only for the party to be shattered when his pregnant lover called me.

Evelyn was thrilled, convinced she had finally found the man she wanted to build a future with. Every date with him felt like a fairytalehe showered her with bouquets and costly gifts. Her friends envied her, except Barbara, who kept repeating, Hes only with you because youve got money.

Evelyn ignored Barbaras warning and clung to her happiness.

Six months after they met, she decided to introduce James to her parents. At first, they were skeptical; her father, Robert, had dreamed of her marrying the son of his business partner. Still, after a tense dinner, both parents gave their reluctant blessing and everything seemed to fall into place.

Within a year they were married. Their wedding drew over a hundred guests, and her parents gifted them a flat in central London. From the twentieth floor, looking over the citys skyline, it felt as if the whole world lay at their feet.

Robert promptly found James a senior position at his firm, and soon James became his deputy, handling the companys most critical matters. Gradually, Robert grew to respect James for his competence. He often told his wife, Now I can rest easy about the businesss future; I have a worthy secondincommand.

At first the newlyweds lived for each other, jetsetting abroad, ticking off three or four countries a year. Then Evelyns parents began to press for grandchildren, and the couple started dreaming of an heir.

Months slipped by, and every fertility test returned a single line. Panic set in; they both underwent further examinations and discovered a serious issue on Evelyns side. She entered costly private clinics, saw specialist after specialist, tried IVF multiple times, but nothing worked. At thirty, the prospect of a child remained a distant fantasy.

They resolved to celebrate Evelyns birthday with family. Jamess mother and sister arrived, as did Evelyns parents and a few distant relatives. Midbanquet, Evelyns phone rang. The room was deafening, so she slipped outside. An unknown number flashed on the screen; she guessed a friend, but a strange voice answered.

The woman introduced herself, then said, Evelyn, I know you well, so please listen calmly. James and I have been together for a long time; we love each other, and soon well have a baby. He told me you cant have children, so Im asking you to let him goonly with me can he be truly happy.

Evelyn staggered, her world tipping. She forced a smile, returned to the guests, and pretended nothing had changed.

When the party cleared and she was alone with her parents, she disclosed the call. James went ashen, unable to explain. Robert erupted, seized James, and threw him out onto the street. Evelyn drove back to their block; a drunken James waited by the driveway.

He pleaded, I dont know how this happened. She just bewitched me. I was looking for a surrogate to bear our child, and then I left her. Evelyn, desperate for answers, let him back inside.

The next morning she called her father, saying they had reconciled and everything was fine, though unease gnawed at her. Now she sits alone, wrestling with the decision: should she let James walk away with the woman who is about to give birth, or stay with the man she loves and endure the ache of betrayal? She knows she will suffer either way, and she still cannot tell what the right choice is.
