Після важкого робочого дня я звично взяла свою сумочку, накинула плаща і побігла на зупинку. Якраз під’їхала потрібна маршрутка, і я, добігаючи, вскочила в неї. Почала ритися в сумочці в пошуках гаманця, щоб дістати купюру і розрахуватися, та зрозуміла, що забула його на роботі. Думаю, може, у кишенях знайдеться хоча б кілька копійок, — та й там пусто.
Що ж тепер робити і як оплатити проїзд?
Боже, як мені соромно! Водій не зводить з мене очей, постійно поглядаючи у дзеркало заднього виду, і каже: «Прошу всіх оплатити за проїзд». Я панічно нишпорю по всіх кишенях сумочки в пошуках хоча б однієї гривні, і все даремно. Аж раптом намацую у сумочці плитку молочного шоколаду, яку подарувала мені зранку колега з нагоди мого іменина. Добре, що я її кинула туди зранку.
І тут мене осінило: вирішила розрахуватися не грошима, яких у мене не було, а… шоколадкою. Простягаю її чоловіку попереду мене зі словами: «Передайте водію, будь ласка!». Звісно, всі, до кого вона потрапляла, починали голосно і заразно сміятися.
Нарешті моя шоколадка опинилася в руках водія. Він був здивований, що отримав не гроші, але зовсім не розсердився, а навпаки. Він вирішив підняти настрій усім у маршрутці й передав мені здачу. Уявляєте?! До мене повернулися три шоколадні цукерки та дві карамелі.
