Привела додому свого хлопця, а мій пес почав дивно поводитися: лає на нього та стрибає на місці, і я зрештою дізналася про причину його дивної поведінки
Кілька тижнів тому я зустріла чоловіка. Лагідний, чарівний, турботливий наче зійшов зі сторінки роману. Дарував квіти без нагоди, писав теплі повідомлення щоранку, доглядав витончено. Я була впевнена це він. Моя людина.
Вдома на нас чекав мій пес зазвичай спокійний і добрий, який ніколи навіть на поштового не гавкав. Але цього разу він збожеволів: гавкав, притискав вуха, підстрибував. Я ніколи такого не бачила.
Йому твоя енергетика не подобається, жартую я, щоб розрядити атмосферу.
Хлопець посміхнувся натягнуто.
Може, забереш його? Раптом вкусить… прошепотів він.
Не бійся, він не такий. Можливо, просто духи не сподобались. Я замкнула пса на кухні, але він продовжував вити, дряпав двері, ніби відчував загрозу.
Мій супутник відчув себе некомфортно й пішов. Після цього зник не відповідав на дзвінки, повідомлення.
А через тиждень я побачила його в новинах: його заарештували. Під дією наркотиків він збив людину на переході.
Я застигла з телефоном у руках, бліда від жаху. Єдине питання мучило мене: що було б, якби пес не відчув небезпеку? Якби він залишився? Якби я заснула, а він опинився у своєму спотвореному світі?
З того дня я більше ніколи не сумніваюся в інстинктах тварин.
Іноді вони знають набагато більше, ніж ми.
