What a Meeting! You Look Like Kate Moss, but Your House Is a Disaster.

Its often said that men prize physical appearance above all else in women. By that reasoning, the ideal woman should be tall, long-legged, blonde, perpetually smiling and radiant. But is that really all there is to it? Naturally, looks may catch a mans eye at first, but surely, they arent what matter most in the end.

I had a friend named Edward. We worked together in the same firm in Manchester. One day, we welcomed a new colleague to our team. She looked just like one of those fashion modelsstrikingly tall, a grin as dazzling as fresh snow, the sort of figure that turned heads when she walked by. Edward was clearly besotted from the get-go.

Before long, it was obvious she quite liked him too. One morning, she arrived at the office lugging an enormous handbag. Edward, ever the gentleman, immediately offered to help carry it for her on her way home. She agreed, and he considered himself rather lucky for the chance. An hour later, after work, my phone rangit was Edward, his voice trembling with panic.

As it turned out, when Edward stepped into this model-esque womans flat, he was completely taken aback. The stench inside was absolutely overwhelming, as if something had died and been left there for weeks. Rubbish was piled up everywhere, mouldy food littered the flooreven her bed. There were actual maggots crawling across the table.

Edward nearly threw up on the spot. To her, though, this was all perfectly normal. He walked out of her flat with his entire idea about beauty utterly shattered. In the end, he told me, what truly matters isnt how a woman looksbut her sense of cleanliness and pride in her home.
