Та все ж, мама мені повірила.
Добре, моя мама таки повірила мені.
Це сталося під час Великодня минулого року. Була ніч, десь о восьмій, якраз у Чистий Четвер. Я йшов по вулиці, де горів лише один ліхтар. Все навкруги тонуло в пітьмі. Наперекір темряві, вдалині маячила велика тінь. Це не була людина. Вона не йшла — просто наближалась… беззвучно, не змінюючи форми.
Чим далі я рухався, тим ближче відчував її присутність. А потім — у мить — вона зникла. Так, ніби її й не було. Я застиг на місці, не розуміючи, що тільки-но побачив. І найстрашніше те, що за крок звідти був цвинтар.
З того часу, коли мені доводиться йти тією вулицею, я ніколи не дивлюсь у темний кінець. Бо хто знає, чи не повториться все знову…
