Vivienne turned sharply, her gaze cutting into her fiancé like a blade

Vivienne turned sharply, her gaze cutting into her fiancé like a blade.

“Ethan, what is the meaning of this? Who is this person?”

Ethan’s shock instantly turned into defensive malice. He gestured wildly to the guards.

“She’s a lunatic! A scammer! Security, drag this trash out into the snow right now!”

But Lily didn’t back down. With a trembling hand, she pulled a thick legal envelope from her coat and slammed it onto a glass table.

“You promised we would be a family, Ethan. But the moment the doctor confirmed my pregnancy, you blocked my number, paid off my landlord, and left me homeless so you could climb into this billionaire family,” Lily said, her voice ringing with months of suppressed pain.

Vivienne snatched the envelope. Inside were photos of them together, prenatal records, and a certified DNA test with a 99.99% match. Whispers erupted like wildfire. Guests pulled out their phones, recording every single second of the golden boy’s downfall.

Suddenly, an elderly man stood up from the head table. It was Arthur Cross, Ethan’s father—a legendary, ruthless tycoon. He walked slowly toward Lily, his heavy footsteps echoing in the quiet room. Ethan panicked:

“Dad, don’t look at that, she’s trying to ruin me!”

Arthur ignored him completely. He stopped in front of Lily, looked into the baby’s eyes, and his cold expression softened. He pulled a silk handkerchief from his pocket and gently wiped a tear from his grandson’s cheek. Then, he turned to his son.

SLAP.

The sound of Arthur’s hand striking Ethan’s face cracked through the penthouse like thunder.

Vivienne didn’t shed a single tear. She calmly pulled off her engagement ring and dropped it with a sharp clink into Ethan’s glass of single-malt scotch.

“I almost married a monster,” she said coldly, walking away.

Arthur took off his custom-tailored cashmere jacket and gently wrapped it around Lily’s shivering shoulders.

“From this night on, neither you nor my grandson will ever beg for anything again,” Arthur announced loudly to his lawyers. “Redraft my will immediately. Half of Ethan’s inheritance is being transferred to this child. And Ethan—you are fired from Cross Enterprises and stripped of your name. Get out of my sight.”

As Ethan collapsed into a chair, his perfect life completely shattered, Lily walked out to the elevator with her head held high, holding a future that no one could ever steal from her child again.
