My Ex-Wife Tried to Sue Me for Half the House—But She Never Saw My Master Plan Coming

Published

on

My ex-wife wanted to sue me for half the house, but she didnt expect Id planned ahead. Our marriage ended in a courtroom showdown. I wont say who was right or wrongin any relationship, both share blame.

The truth is, my second wife found herself a wealthy lover. He was a businessman whod moved here years ago and opened a small café in our town. At first, she tried hiding the affair, but soon, they didnt even bother.

Then she confronted me, demanding a divorce and claiming half our home. She thought Id panic, but the flat was bought solely with my hard-earned money. She had no claim to itjust lived there for two years. Yet there she was, bold as brass, making demands.

I stayed calm. I didnt talk her out of court. I just waited for her to lose and pay the legal fees. Id learned my lesson from my first marriage. That case dragged on for three years because we couldnt agree. Every hearing ended in a row.

In the end, my first wife got what she wantedhalf my assets. She had a sharp solicitor. I lost the house Id inherited from my father.

But with my second wife, I was wiser. Before marrying her, I already owned a flat, which Id renovated myselfbut it was legally in my brothers name. Hes the one person I trust completely. So when divorce came, I had nothing to lose. After my first failed marriage, no woman would ever outsmart me again.

The lesson? Trust, but always have a backup plan.
