My Ex-Wife Tried to Sue Me for Half the House, But She Didn’t See My Master Plan Coming

Published

on

My ex-wife fancied taking me to court for half the houselittle did she know Id seen it coming a mile off.

Our marriage ended with a date in a courtroom. I wont point fingers about who was right or wrongin a breakup, both sides usually have a hand in it. Still, facts are facts: wife number two had taken up with some wealthy businessman whod rolled into town years back and opened a posh little coffee shop. At first, she tried to keep their affair under wraps, but soon enough, they werent even bothering to hide it.

Then she waltzed in and announced she was filing for divorce and wanted half the house. Bless her, she expected me to panic, but that flat was bought with my own hard-earned cash. The ex had nothing to do with it, aside from squatting there for two years. And now she had the nerve to make demands?

I took it all in stride. Didnt even try to talk her out of court. Just sat back, waiting for her to lose and foot the legal bill. Been there, done that with wife number onethree years of courtroom drama, every hearing ending in a shouting match. In the end, she got her way, thanks to some slick lawyer, and walked off with half my inheritancea flat Id got from my dad.

But second time round, Id wised up. Before marrying again, Id already bought another place, fixed it up myself, but put it in my brothers namethe one person Id trust with my last fiver. So when divorce number two rolled around, surprise, surpriseI officially owned nothing. After the first marriage went south, no woman was pulling the wool over my eyes again.
