The Woman Took a Seat in the Back and Realized Her Son Would No Longer Fit There.

Published

on

I was sitting in the back seat of the coach and realised my little boy just wouldnt fit any more.

James, the kids and I were on holiday abroad, and one day we got caught up in a rather awkward situation.

Wed booked a daytrip that took us to a few spots you cant reach on foot, so we set aside a whole day for it.

We bought four tickets, one for each of us, so everyone had a proper seat. Right after us a plump lady with a baby squeezed onto the bus. She was about the same size as us, and they were squeezing between the rows. The lady plonked herself on the back seat and then realised her son didnt fit there. She got up and started hunting for another free spot for the little guy.

She glanced at our skinny lads and decided to put her son right next to them.

James stepped in and told her wed paid for those seats, so there was no reason to push our children around. She wouldnt back down she even started arguing with the guide.

She tried to convince us that we ought to make room for others. Why on earth should we do that? She even suggested we abandon the tour and hand our tickets back. The other tourists joined in, calling us selfish and snapping selfies of the scene.

The kids eventually shifted around so the tour could go on, while the driver waited for the argument to settle. By then the mood was totally ruined.

I kept wondering: were we in the right? Why should my kids have to travel squeezed when Id bought proper tickets for them? What do you think?
