Young Bus Driver Gives All Passengers a Lesson in Life – His Remarkable Actions Are Truly Admirable
Today I witnessed a remarkable act by a 25-year-old coach driver. Heres what unfolded.
At the bus stop, an elderly lady, perhaps about 80 years old, got on. I watched as she fished a small handkerchief out of her bag (it clearly had some money tucked inside). She carefully counted the exact fare, then politely asked the driver if he could stop at the next stop by the corner shop. He nodded as usual. When we arrived, the lady offered her money and said,
Thank you, my dear.
But the driver didnt accept her fare. He reached for his wallet and told her hed just be a few minutes. Then, before anyone knew it, he dashed across into the shop. In no time, he returned carrying four pints of milk, some cream, a loaf of bread, pasta, and some meat! He handed these groceries to the old lady. She tried to refuse, insisting,
No, really, lovemy pension is enough for my bread and bits and bobs.
But the driver replied,
If you dont take these, Ill just have to toss them away.
The old ladys eyes welled with tears; she thanked him warmly and wished him all the best in life The driver returned to his seat. At that moment, a woman in her forties piped up,
Was it really worth wasting your money and making us late just for some thanks?
The driver turned, opened the doors, and told her to get off, saying,
Its people like you that make the older generation think all young people are rude, because you teach your children nothing but selfishness and insincerity!
She stepped off, cheeks burning red like a ripe tomato. Well done, ladif only there were more like you!
