How the Cleaning Lady Bought Herself an Expensive Mercedes

Published

on

Let me share with you something that happened to me quite recently. I hired a cleaner to work in my officea lovely English lady named Grace Wilson. Shes incredibly diligent, always arrives before dawn, and manages to have the place spotless in under an hour. She completes everything before the first member of staff steps through the door.

One day, she came by my office to pick up her wages. I hardly recognised her; she was immaculately dressed, and her hair looked fantastic. As she entered, she asked me,

Is it true that your employees get a discount at the local car wash?

The question caught me entirely off guard. I wasnt quite sure why she was interested in the car wash discount, but I confirmed it and assured her the reduction also applied to her. I told her she should bring her family as well, since she was on our payroll.

You should have seen my reactioncomplete disbelief! I was properly stunned when she arrived in a top-of-the-range Mercedes, her husband and daughter following in cars just as expensive. I couldnt have guessed she could afford such luxury vehicles. Curiosity got the better of me: how on earth could she manage this on a cleaners salary?

As it turns out, Grace makes her round at twenty offices like mine every day, bringing in a small fortune each month! Can you believe it?

Now, Im seriously considering asking her for tips on how to run a successful business.
