Brave stray dog rescues injured woman from car accident, dragging her over 100 feet to seek help
The back window was smashed and the car had overturned, landing upside down. I was awake, but my legs wouldnt budge.
Later, Emily would discover she had fractured her pelvis in three places from the accident.
Out of the blue, another car came along the road. Its headlights illuminated Emily as she desperately tried to signal for help. She managed to shout that she was injured before slipping into unconsciousness. The driver spotted her and stopped immediately, jumping out to check on Emily.
Emily was already unconscious, but he could see blood pouring from her head and arms. He dialed 999 straight away and stayed with her until the ambulance arrived. Because of his quick actions, Emily pulled through this dreadful ordeal.
I wasnt sure how long Id been out before waking up; but I recall the overwhelming feeling I had when I came round.
A woman named Margaret was out for an afternoon stroll with her terrier, Alfie, when she suddenly collapsed without warning.
Shed suffered a heart attack and lay motionless, while faithful Alfie kept watch beside her. It was several hours before anyone happened upon them and rang an ambulance, but sadly, Margaret was gone by then.
Elsewhere, a mans devoted spaniel, Baxter, remained steadfastly at his owners side through a three-day coma, refusing to leave his bedside for a moment. Baxter is now celebrated as a true friend, standing by when his loyalty was needed most.
These stories remind us that kindness can come from strangers and friends alike, and sometimes, the bond between humans and their pets is powerful enough to endure any challenge. It’s in moments of crisis that we truly see the best in people, and in animals, too.
