I Can’t Believe It’s Possible! A Mother Went to Extreme Lengths to Remove Her Daughter from This World
I had a best mate, Emily. Wed been friends for yonks. More than once, shed tell me, with a sigh and a half-smile, how tricky her life was. And honestly, most of it boiled down to living twenty years under the same roof as her husband and her mum.
Her mum, Margaret she was the sort of woman who treated people like pawns on a chessboard. Didnt matter a jot that Emily was her own daughter. Nothing was ever quite right for Margaret. She was 85, but dont imagine some gentle granny Margaret could put most folks to shame with her energy.
Margaret lived with one thought: her daughter owed her everything, including her very existence. This all started because, when Margaret got pregnant, her husband scarpered off and shacked up with someone else. Since Emily was a spitting image of her dad, all the resentment ended up hurled at her.
Emily was never the beloved daughter more like a live-in maid, cleaner, and general dogsbody. She juggled two jobs, came home knackered, and instead of putting her feet up got straight to scrubbing floors and rustling up dinner. Her mum wouldnt lift a finger, and, more often than not, made a fuss if Emily cooked something she didnt fancy. You wouldnt believe it: poor Emily once handed in her notice just so she could cross London to cook Margarets favourite stew.
One day, it was Emilys birthday. We all gathered round her table she’d organised a cracking spread. But she looked properly down. She confided in me that thered been yet another row with her mum. Predictably, we all left early to avoid the fallout.
The next morning, I heard Emily was gone. Turns out, after wed left, Margaret kicked off again with another drama. Emilys heart just couldnt take it. No ambulance was called. That night, she passed away. All because her mum managed to rule the household with an iron fist right until the bitter end.
