You Stay Home All Day Doing Nothing – After Hearing These Words, I Decided It Was Time to Teach Him a Lesson

So, right before I got married, my friends used to warn me. Theyd say, You know, once a bloke ties the knot, he starts treating his wife like shes his property and only then do you see what hes really like.

But, like any young and hopeful woman, I was absolutely convinced my husband wouldnt be like that. Honestly, before the wedding, he treated me wonderfullynever had a bad word to say, always made sure I was happy, and nearly worried himself sick if he thought he’d upset me. He wanted me around all the time. But, just like it happens to a lot of women, I was wrong. Turns out, winning a womans heart really does change some men.

A few months into our marriage, he started making snide remarks about my mum. Things like, Why is she always phoning you? Why does she come over every week? Of course, I gave inI was anxious about keeping our marriage steady, so I asked Mum not to ring as much, only calling her when he was out.

But it didnt stop there. When I found out I was pregnant, I lost my job because my contract wasn’t renewedI needed bed rest as the pregnancy was risky. After that, hed moan at me, saying, You just sit at home all day and don’t lift a finger. Once again, I kept quietbeing pregnant and scared he might leave me.

About a year and a half after our little girl was born, he started acting like he was the lord of the manor. When he came home from work, he expected me to be waiting by the front door, slippers in hand, with a hot meal ready in the kitchen. Absolutely everything needed to be sorted so he could just stroll in and eat something lovely.

He didnt do a thing to help with our daughterapparently that was all down to me because I was the woman of the house. In the end, I was totally worn out. So I packed up, took the baby, and moved back to my mums. Didnt speak to him for two whole months after that. Life carried onI went back to work, started to feel more myself, honestly looked better than I had in years.

Then, one day, he turns up on the doorstep, looking absolutely shattered and in scruffy clothes, and literally begs us to forgive him. So I told him straight: if he wanted us back, hed need to sign up for a cooking course! From now on, he would be responsible for making meals and helping with the housework if I came back. He agreed, but I suppose well just have to see if hes really changed.
