On the Seaside, a Strange Guy Approached Me and I Noticed a Mole Beneath His Left Ear. Suddenly, My Uncle’s Words Echoed in My Mind: “You’ll Meet Your Soulmate by the Sea.”

When I said goodbye to my brother at the train station, my mum was really emotional, worried that it might be the last time shed see him in this world, given her age. Wanting to see my brother and sister possibly for the last time, I decided to set off. First, I visited my uncle, and then we headed to where my aunt lived. My uncle cracked a joke about my upcoming weddingits in six months, you knowand I jokingly told him he was definitely invited. He teased me to be careful, mentioning his distinctive birthmark The weather was absolutely lovely.

When we arrived, we got a warm welcome from Aunt Helen and her husband. The next morning, my younger cousin Emily and I decided to make the most of the seaside. After mucking about in the waves, we went back for lunch. Emily was a bit tired and fancied a rest, but she had other ideas and convinced me to head out to the beach with her again and then to catch a film later. As we were coming out of the water, two lads came over and asked for directions to a particular street. Emily gave them some pointers. Then, the second guy looked at me quite closely and asked, Excuse me, are you called Mary?

I was surprised and raised an eyebrow, and he quickly explained, You live in London and have a friend named Sophie. Shes my sister. Ive seen your photos in her album, and I was curious to meet you. Thats when I noticed the birthmark on his arm. We all decided to go to the cinema together and then had a wander along the shore. When we were saying our goodbyes, he mentioned that he and his mate were wrapping up a work trip and heading off the next day. He asked if he could ring me and for my phone numberI agreed. Ten days later, he met up with me and my mum at the airport. And six months after that, we got married.
