My wife was sleeping beside me and suddenly, a notification popped up on Facebooka woman asking me to add her as a friend.

So I added her.

I accepted the friend request and sent a message: Do we know each other?

She replied, I heard you got married, but I still love you.

She was an old friend from years ago. In her profile picture, she looked absolutely stunning.

I closed the chat window and glanced at my wife, peacefully asleep after a tiring day at work.

Looking at her, I thought about how safe she must feel, resting so comfortably in our new home together.

Shes far from her parents house now, where she grew up surrounded by her family. When she felt down or sad, her mum was always there for her, ready to offer a shoulder to cry on. Her sister or brother would crack jokes until she laughed again. Her dad came home each evening with little treats, just to see her smile. Yet, she put all her trust in me.

All these thoughts flooded my mind, so I picked up my phone and pressed BLOCK.

I turned back towards her and drifted off to sleep at her side.
