Sara’s Father Chose to Raise Her as a Boy, Expecting a Son but Welcoming a Daughter Instead—For Years, Sara Herself Didn’t Know if She Felt Like a Boy or a Girl, Until One Day Everything Changed!

Sarahs father decides to raise his daughter as if she were a boy, having expected a son but finding himself with a daughter instead. Growing up surrounded by boys in a village near Oxford, Sarah always feels like one of the lads, with her parents cheekily commenting on how her name doesnt suit her rough-and-tumble ways. She prefers a tomboy styleloosely fitted jeans, comfortable t-shirts, her hair always tied back in a simple ponytail. Unless you happened to catch sight of her long ponytail, youd never guess, from the dirt and grass stains after a kick-about in the park, that she wasnt just another boy from the neighbourhood.

Despite her unusual upbringing, as university life in London unfolds, Sarah changes into a mature and elegant young woman.

One day, shes invited to a classmates birthday do. Her mum hesitates to let her go out so late, but finally gives in after extracting a promise that Sarah will stay in touch throughout the evening. Wanting to fit in at a proper party, Sarah picks out a red mini-dress and delicate stiletto heels, looking truly striking and every bit the woman. When her father sees her before she leaves, he cant help but tear up a littlehed always pictured her as tough as old boots, not as a delicate young lady.

On her way home from the party, Sarah runs into trouble on a quiet Manchester streetthree drunk men begin to harass her. Before anything worse can happen, her unexpected hero arrivesa tall fellow, holding what looks like a cricket bat. The would-be attackers scarper as soon as they spot him, and Sarah is immediately overcome with relief and gratitude towards her rescuer, Robert.

Sarah and Robert soon get to know each other, and it isnt long before theyre a proper couple. Eventually, they marry. Sarah becomes a PE teacher, while Robert lands a highly respected job in the energy sector. Their love story is full of respect and mutual understanding. Together, they have a daughter, and though Robert holds firmly to traditional ideas about what it means to be feminine, hes determined their daughter will grow up strong and confident, supporting her at every turn. Sarah is happy to share this approach to raising their family, and her father finally finds in Robert the son-in-law hed always hoped for.
